About Cristina


Hi! My name is Cristina Mitchell. Growing up in a Midwestern home I had access to a lot of delicious food.

My mother was a master of melding influences in the kitchen, my father’s Italian side with her parents’ Southern side. My brother and I never had to worry about eating correctly because Mom did it all.

Unfortunately, I didn’t listen to my father when he told me to pay attention to how she did it all. So, by the time I was out on my own, I had no idea how to grocery shop or cook so that I was getting the right nutrients in my diet. 

Cue the pounds quickly piling on...

Regarding diets, I’ve tried all the extremes, no sugar, no salt, no gluten, no fat, and other crazy plans.

I’ve been as heavy as 148 pounds and as light as 115 pounds with all points in between.

Since the age of 6, I’ve been involved in competitive sports. I’ve played collegiate volleyball and softball. I’ve competed in figure competitions with the NPC. And, I  even participated in an extreme obstacle course competition one time.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked in various roles within the fitness industry. Whether it was selling a membership or piece of equipment, modeling for the equipment company, running gyms, being a trainer or nutrition coach...

They all connect through one point, nutrition.

Whatever it may be, grocery shopping, reading labels, cooking or nutrition planning, I look forward to helping you.
